Oh yeah baby! Sox blow out Arizona in a 10-0 game.

Crazy Carl had the lone home run today, not sure yet as to how many runs that brought in, but they did put up 7 runs in the 5th.

Looks like all the "we won't score any runs" worries are starting to be laid to rest?

Granted, I have no idea what kind of teams were playing today, but good to see the Sox pitching shut down the opposition today.

Good to see the Sox steamroll the D-Backs. Hopefully it'll get some of the people who live and die by each ST score to step back from the ledge a little bit.

Diamondbacks' announcers were really impressed with, and said some very nice things about Brandon McCarthy

Was McCarthy the starter? I think he got the win if I'm not wrong. Not that it really matters.

I missed the game. Its sounds like it was a solid outing for him. Anyone know how many K's he got or how many hits or walks he gave up?

As I remember, he faced and got out four batters. You can check the game thread on PTC.

Great game by the Sox all around today. Got to love how great McCarthy looked, even if it ended up being just over an inning.

Odd, not much to complain about, and look how short the post-game thread is...come on guys, you get so upset after the bad games, how about some enjoyment of the good ones.

Marte, Politte, Hermanson, and Vizcaino also cleaned house. Good look at the pen this season, and Crede got a hit.

Of course there's stuff to complain about! ONLY 10 runs scrored? And what's with letting AZ get 4 hits? Not to mention there was only 1 HR. Just forget about this season and hope for good things in 2006

For Everett:

I cant wait to hear that on Monday. Glad I got school off!

And we for sure have shown we can produce runs without the long ball.

I suppose I'm the only one, but the complaining about the "chicken littles" bothers me more than the so-called chicken littles. The way I see it we're/they're Sox fans. We/they care about how the team performs even in Spring Training. I could be wrong but I think everyone is smart enough to know that Spring Training standings don't mean ****. If Munoz stinks it up or someone else or the whole team for that matter has a bad day, what's wrong with complaining about it?
El Duque wasn't happy with his performance and he said so. If a few fans want to complain as well, so what? To claim that they're saying "the sky is falling" is silly. Does the same apply to El Duque? Is he writing himself off for this season? OOOOooooh NOOOoooo!
Now that I got that off my chest, great game today!! Especially nice to see all who pitched do so well.

The pitching today was absolutely excellent. 4 hits and only one walk is really good to see. Even though Marte got really wild and hit two in a row, he managed to get the double-play groundout and still struck out 3. It would have been nice to see McCarthy go the full 3 innings, but the bullpen did a fantastic job.

Also, all of the regular hitters, except for Uribe, got one hit today, so that's another plus (Iguchi, Everett, Crede, Konerko and Rowand).

Additionally, 10 runs on only 12 hits is pretty good. Very efficient if I might say so myself.

Overall, great effort, but again, nothing to get to excited about as it's still early in Spring Training.

NO WAY...Daley would have put the sirens on.
