Part of article on CUBS.COM:

PHOENIX -- Carlos Zambrano started on Thursday. Kerry Wood will pitch Friday. John Koronka and Jimmy Anderson are scheduled to start Saturday and Sunday, followed by Greg Maddux on Monday.
Where's Mark Prior?
Don't panic. Prior's next game will be on a back field Friday when he will throw a simulated game, part of the Chicago Cubs' slightly revamped prep work for pitchers this spring. Pitching coach Larry Rothschild wants them to concentrate on building up arm strength and their mechanics rather than risk a 30-pitch inning and getting out of whack.

Hmmm...revamped work for pitchers? Seems like this is for just him, no?

If this is going on in a week, then there's a problem.

If I were the Cubs, I wouldn't be taking any chances with his arm either. He's a very fragile cash cow for the Tribune company

If this is going on in a week, then there's a problem. I agree. This sounds weird. I think something's up. I can see it now, Prior and Wood ,100 pitches by the 5th, then they're out.
