In grapefruit league action today, the Detroit Tigers mighty juggernaut managed to hold off Florida Southern College in a 10-inning, 2-2 tie.

That's o.k. Yesterday, the Pirates FINALLY got that monkey off their back and beat the dynasty known as Valpraiso University. They broke the curse.

That's o.k. Yesterday, the Pirates FINALLY got that monkey off their back and beat the dynasty known as Valpraiso University. They broke the curse.

They play Valpo every year because Lloyd McClendon went there. I didn't know that game was yesterday. Oh man, Valparaiso's baseball team is one of the worst division I programs in the nation...and that is not a joke.
