Uribe and Everett - it should just be one, though, since it is Pick to Click, in that case it would be Everett

I'll take Garland. I'm saying by the end of the year he will be the third best starter on the staff. And that won't be a bad thing.

Iguchi will have a huge year, but I dont think that will surprise anybody around here. My pick to click is Jose Contreras. This is the year he will finally put it together at the major league level and win 17-20 games.

I think that we all should be tickled pink that there's such a diverse selection of players being chosen by us. The fact that the automatic answer isn't "Frank" followed by a slew of question marks is probably what has us all excited about getting the damn season started already(!)

I would love to make Garland my choice as pick to click for the season, but I don't believe he'll really come into his own for at least another year. He really reminds me of myself when I was his age in a lot of ways (scatter brained and passive) and I didn't find my killer instinct until I was 27 or 28. I wouldn't be the least bit shocked if Garland made a run for the Cy Young at that age. He's got the stuff. He's just gotta live a little longer so he can find his anger. When he does, look out.

That being said, I'm gonna go with Crede as my 2005 PTC. He's got the goods and the fact that he was so committed in the off season has given me high hopes. Our dearly departed Carlos Lee made a similar commitment to improving his game and it payed off. If what Greg Walker has said about Crede's swing "plane" is true and they've fixed the flaw, I think we're gonna see some huge at bats outta Crede.

Hey Joe, relax. It's just baseball. See the ball. Hit the ball. Go home to your family. That's what really matters.

The year of the Comebacks!!!

(I'm pretty suprised that there are no Paulie votes. What up with that?)

I don't know about the Paulie votes but I will say that he is one of the keys. 5-6 things have to go right for the Sox in order for us to make the playoffs and one of them is Paulie hitting consistantly well for the entire season. Money really doesn't seem to be a factor in motivating him, he seems like he would do anything to help the team (perhaps another reason why they let the better player in Lee leave as trade bate, but I digress) but this is a contract year so it shouldn't hurt. I hope he has a career year and gets signed for four more years.

I think Dye is going to have a huge year in our launching pad we call the Cell. I can see him hitting going .280-35-100 and flashing some great leather in RF.

Man, a pick to click? For the WHOLE SEASON? That's a tall order.

I'll take Freddy Garcia and Jermaine Dye, because I think many will be surprised if/when Garcia turns out a 3.7 or so ERA with 16-19 wins as I suspect he will this season and when Dye hits .290 with 35-40 (yeah, that's right) bombs.

no one picking Gload?!?! I am going with Ross. With Big Frank out of the line up for a while, I think Ross will be very important... and he's a damn good hitter. Give him a shot, Ozzie!
