Sosa: I'm irreplaceable
February 24, 2005
BY CHRIS DE LUCA (cdeluca@suntimes.com) Staff Reporter
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- To his former teammates -- notably Kerry Wood and Mark Prior -- who say the Cubs are better off without him, Sammy Sosa offered a pointed reply Wednesday.
''I understand that they are saying right now that they don't need me. They lie,'' Sosa said after his first workout as a Baltimore Oriole. ''I understand they want to move forward and they feel they have a competitive team, but I don't think nobody can replace me. They can say whatever they want to say, but it is going to be hard, my friend, to duplicate me.''

Prediction: In the first intrasquad game Sosa struckout four times, committed two errors and used three double negatives.

Yeah, well...
Actually, he's right -- it will be hard to duplicate him. It's not often you find a talent-wasting, self-absorbed, cheating drug user who's successful in convincing his employer to pay him millions of dollars.

Too bad the Flubs don't play them this year. Prior and Wood would have a field day.................................
Glad to see Scammy has hired the same PR consultant that Barry Bonds uses.:D:

There isn't anyone who could replace that attitude of arrogance in the Cubs locker room, so yes, he's absolutely correct.

Just reading Sosa's statement makes me want to recite Chevy Chase's rant about his boss in "Christmas Vacation". If only I could remember even one third of it.

At least now Sox and Cubs fans can agree on something: Sammy sucks.

You mean this one? :D:
Hey. If any of you are looking for any last-minute gift ideas for me, I have one. I'd like Frank Shirley, my boss, right here tonight. I want him brought from his happy holiday slumber over there on Melody Lane with all the other rich people and I want him brought right here, with a big ribbon on his head, and I want to look him straight in the eye and I want to tell him what a cheap, lying, no-good, rotten, four-flushing, low-life, snake-licking, dirt-eating, inbred, overstuffed, ignorant, blood-sucking, dog-kissing, brainless, ****less, hopeless, heartless, fat-***, bug-eyed, stiff-legged, spotty-lipped, worm-headed sack of monkey **** he is. Hallelujah. Holy ****. Where's the Tylenol?

Here's an idea. If there is a teal police, why can't there be a double negative police?
I agree with Sosa, I don't think nobody can replace him.:redneck
