The Cubs reportedly have waived Sammy Sosa's fine of $87,400 for skipping out on the team on the last day of the season.
Sosa was fined one day's pay for leaving without permission, something that played a big part in the Cubs' decision to move him.

In other news, the Tribune company cut back the circulation of this Sunday's paper by about $87,000.

It still pisses me off though. That dude didn't even show up for work, yet he gets to keep $87,000 for doing nothing.
