View Full Version : Why Sham-Me's press conference was late...

This morning on the Midday Show on ESPN radio 1000, they talked about when Sham-Me got off the plane on Wednesday in Baltimore to take his physical. Apparently, Sham-Me refused to get in the "regular" car that the Orioles had sent for him. He demanded that a limo be brought to the airport to take him to Camden Yards. It took about an hour to get a limo out there to pick Sham-Me up and bring him to the ballpark. That's why the press conference was late.

What a tool.

No wonder they said that the press conference was being held up because Sammy's physical wasn't finished yet. They were probably trying to find something wrong with it so they could back out of the deal.

In addition Murph reported that Sammy still has not paid the $80,000+ fine he incurred for walking out on the fans on fan appreciation day. I wonder if that ad in the newspaper cost 80,000?

Shame on the Orioles for not treating Sammy like the star he is! That wasn't arrogant to expect a limo to pick him up. After last year, he deserves to be treated like a superstar!!!

Just for that, they should have made him walk all the way to Camden Yards. Will he never learn? Sheesh!
