Wow, the Cubs constantly have lots of free agents. A lot of rent-a-players.

Mostly due to their lack of an effective minor league system for the last ten years.A trend that is turning around, but slowly, they have had a bad habit of mortgaging the future to win now.Somehow they never manage to win though.

Tom Glavine to an incentive laden deal for 1 year. We could use a vet in the rotation, esp. if Wells does go. If not Glavine, go for Schmidt. Only problem with Schmidt is that he is not gonna come very cheap.

Hi, my name is Johnny Damon. I play the outfield. My agent is Scott Boras.

Not gonna happen, unfortunately.

I seriously doubt that Glavine would ever play for Reinsdorf. He's the head player rep. & much like Curt Schilling, is still bitter at Reinsdorf for '94.

I think that even if Boone did have a career year and next year is not quite as good, he will still do better than Ray Ray. Maybe the Sox could raid some team desperate for a 2nd baseman by trading them Durham and then sign Boone. It won't happen, but it would be cool.

Dall just lost 20 games two years ago. Boomer is our best bet.

For a lefty reliever I say Mike Remlinger is the best. He could help us out a bit, but not gonna single handidly bring us the best pen in the AL. It would be a start though, almost any of those would work for us.

daver, you don't think we need any more pitchers, huh?

The Yankees rotation is nuthin....we got Kip, Garland, Wright, and Glover. Now that's a world series rotation, let me tell ya.

Wright and Kip shouldn't even be starters in my opinion.

I never said we don't need pitching,I don't see anyone on that list coming here.
