News
The Pirates signed relief pitcher Rick White (http://bigleaguers.yahoo.com/mlbpa/players/5186/) to a minor league deal on Wednesday, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reported. White, 36, went 5-5 with a 5.29 ERA in 59 appearances for the Indians in 2004.

He'll compete for a bullpen spot but will not be a fantasy factor.

He is returning home. It is also his 7th team in 5 years. It is a joke that this guy is still in the majors. (At least they know he will not be a fantasy factor)

He's not really in the majors. He signed a minor league deal, but chances are he'll be brought up sooner than later. The Pirates staff isn't exactly the best in baseball

You are correct, but the Pirates don't have the best bullpen so he will be up...probably by opening day.

Correct me if I am wrong, which I am alot, if you get a minor league contract...and you have been a major leaguer for an extended period of time, can you deny a stint in the minors for the organization and become a free agent again?

Even if he is on the Pittsburgh Roster on opening day, He's still on a minor league Team.

This will free up one of their players for a deal with the Flubs.
