"Friday, July 22nd 7:05 Boston - Mullet Night"

Can someone tell me exactly what I should expect on "Mullet Night"?

OR

"Saturday, April 16th 1:05 Seattle - Japanese Uniforms"

Japanese Uniforms? That could be a cool giveaway. Iguchi and Takatsu jerseys?

You asked

For those who might be a little behind on hairstyle terminology, a mullet is defined as any haircut in which the back is significantly longer than the front and the sides. Its a style that hit its peak in the late 80s, mostly among metalheads and hockey fans. Maybe that's why the Manchester Monarchs decided to honor this particular hairstyle during their 2nd Annual Mullet Night.

Mullet Night? Oh, let's just propagate the impression that sCrUB fans have about Sox fans thanks to knuckleheads such as the Ligue boys.

Manchester won "promotion of the year" honors with it

http://www.gameops.com/content/best_of/2004.php#promo

The Manchester Monarches brought back Mullet Night for the second year in a row, providing fans with giveaway Mullets and a special appearance by the Hanson Brothers.

The Manchester Mullet Night has become a tradition. In 2004 they inducted the Hanson Brothers into the Mullet Hall of Fame (2003 was Barry Melrose).

In addition:

First 5,000 fans receive Mullet wigs (we had blonde, brown, or dark brown colors) First 5,000 fans received a mullet brochure that explained the nights festivities (see the attached .pdf file (http://www.gameops.com/content/best_of/mullet.pdf)) The Hanson Brothers were inducted into the fictitious Mullet Hall of Fame Mullet of the Game contest was held Video board featured mullet wars which put stars garnishing a mullet against each other. By applause winners were chosen and advanced on to the next round. (i.e.. Patrick Swayze vs.. Randy Johnson)
Players wore mullet wigs during the warm-ups
The night was sold out and received national exposure on ESPN sports center and ESPN NHL2night as well as many other network affiliates.

I think bobbleheads aren't as popular as they once were. Every sports store I go to seems to have a lot of them and they all seem to be on sale.

For some reason, I think mullet night would be cool. Now if I can just find one of my old Van Halen or Poison T-shirts........:redneck

We should steal Youppi from Montreal and have Youppi and Southpaw mate, giving birth to twins Ribbie and Rhubarb.

After which Ribbie and Rhubarb can consume Southpaw's carcass, and go on to found the Old Roman Empire.

I'm pretty sure the bobblehead craze is on its last legs.

Alexander Global Productions (AGP) used to make the bobbles for every team. Now, a lot of teams are hiring other companies to make cheaper, plastic versions. Other teams are phasing it out all together.

Wait a minute guys, according to Webster, Mullet = : any of a family (Mugilidae) of valuable chiefly marine food fishes with an elongate rather stout body.

So, bring your bowls, sounds like they're giving away goldfish.
