A great article in the SunTimes by Rick Telander.
Here is a little section of the article:
"One of the odder notions being floated is that the Yankees deserve to win this American League Championship Series, and then the World Series, because of what happened on Sept. 11. Not only that, they should be supported by Americans one and all in their quest."

This was my favorite part:
The Mariners' Jamie Moyer (an ex-Cub, wouldn't you know) stopped the Yankees cold Saturday night by throwing three ways: slow, slower, paper airplane.

I agree, I can't stand that everybody keeps on saying that "the country" is rooting for tha Spanks. The only people rootin for the Spanks is NY and Moronotti.
Give me a break.
