BB just finished off an interview with Telander, Hood, and Buffone. I thought it was really good.

Buffone asked about the Koch/Foulke trade, he said pretty much that Foulke had a good track record, and it was just a bad month or two and JM (didn't mention him by name) didn't put him back as closer.

He was also talking about the Kane Kounty Kougars, apparently he will be their winter dinner.

When asked about positives for 2005, said they've improved in every area besides Mulder and Hudson - the reason for the trades is that no way he'd be able to afford them in free agency. (Telander should have brought up contract status IMO)

He also said he won't be as smart without those two pitchers.

Genius can go away in a hurry. a 4-19 start has a habit of bringing more than stupidity, it brings pink slips too.

whoops i meant Kane County Cougars. For some reason I think three k's in a row are funny (Krusty's Kharity Klassic on Simpsons for example) and I didn't mean to let that slip

The humor of three K's in a row is very limited. Very.

To clarify, BB is not the entree, but he will be the key speaker for the Kane County Cougar's Winter Banquet, to be held 1/28/05 in Aurora, the far west 'burbs of Chicago. See www.kccougars.com (http://www.kccougars.com) if you're interested.
