Keep us updated on any Sox stuff.

ESPN am1000, the White Sox Flagship, just cant stop talking
about the cubs for some reason. They spoke to Jim Hendry
for a while in the 7oclock hour. Talking about the North Side dang payroll
(100 Million, unreal)

I thought the cubs convention was next week. Honestly, they have talked cubs for 75% of the show thus far.

At 8:30, they're talking steroid testing.

O great, they're taking dopey Cub fan callers with their ideas for trades. The last caller referred to Jorge Julio as "Lugo" and then tried to suggest that the Cubs should trade Sosa to the Devil Rays for Aubrey Huff or Carl Crawford. :?:

Please, ESPN screeners, don't take calls from Cubs fans. Especially the ones that try to suggest trades, because they always suggest the worst trades.

And then Levine couldn't remember Jay Gibbons' name.

I can't believe how many callers have said "Kerry Woods." :o:
Pathetic, that fan base.

A Cubs fan friend of mine at work today suggested that the Cubs were going to trade Sosa and Farnsworth for Huff and Baez. He really believed it too. I said the only way that happens is if the Tribune throws $50mm in cash.

Why would the D-Rays ever take on Sosa's contract? Anyone who thinks that knows nothing about baseball or economics.

Levine said that they experimented with applying paint to the current seats, and it didnt work.

Boyer says they're going to start changing the seats (blue to green) on road trips this year.

Rocklive99

Isn't that going to look ugly? I think I heard Scout seats, left field seats, and bleachers will be green by opening day. The upper deck is going to be blue. They are going to do a section at a time in the upperdeck on road trips, and the whole thing will be done by Opening Day 06

Bruce is way off his game today.

I e-mailed them about the Ben Davis to LA rumor and he responded by saying it was old news with the signing of Paul Bako. He and Carmen started talking about how great it would be for the Sox to trade Ben for Alex Cora despite the fact that Alex was non-tendered, and that there is a report that Cleveland has signed him.

Brian26

Levine still doesn't know that Cora signed with the Indians. Do your ****ing homework. Geez.

A caller asked about Iguchi. Levine says that there is some bad info about the Sox negotiations with him. He says that the Sox have offered a 2-year deal worth $4-5 million. Iguchi wanted 3 years and around $20 million. Levine says they have since backed down on the $20 million, but that the Sox and Iguchi are still working on a 3rd year. He speculates that the Sox could announce the signing tomorrow, simply because Kenny likes to do things around Soxfest.

Wood has a big advantage. He has Ryan Dempster closing for him.:o: What's Kerry's highest Win total, like 14 games?

I'll go out on a limb and say Freddie wins more games than Kerry Wood starts.

(ok, maybe thats a little overboard...)

(ok, maybe thats a little overboard...) :D:With a good year, Jon Garland could win more games than Kerry Wood. And that's in black and white, not teal or deep pink.

You know what is pathetic? Kerry Cooperstown Wood has as many wins as the unemployed Danny Wright for a season. 14

Wow, signing Iguchi wojuld put a topper on an outstandting off season!!!!

I admit I was very upset when Maggs parted ways, I didn't think we had a chance to compete next year. I still question the Lee deal, but at least it is consistent with KW's retooling of the team.

If our guys are healthy, we will have a very good season.
