According to Fred Mitchell's column from Monday, a number of White Sox players will be in the Mount Greenwood neighborhood of Chicago on Friday to dedicate the White Sox Ballfield Complex. Joe Borchard, Willie Harris, Jamie Burke, and Aaron Rowand will play a game of whiffle ball at Mt. Greenwood Park with special needs children. Ozzie Guillen will be there to umpire the game. Mitchell does not say what time this event is.

Mt. Greenwood Park (http://www.chicagoparkdistrict.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/parks.results.cfm) is located at 3724 West 111th Street.

I will tell you what, the White Sox are one of the most neighborhood-friendly professional sport teams to exist. What they do for the community is remarkable.

Meh..this has nothing to do with how they treat their fans. What they have done in Utica and other places is beyond remarkable, though.

They had that in Roselle last year where Ozzie and players were supposed to show but they were rained out the night before and had a double header that day so they didn't show :( Minnie Minoso did though, the field looks preaty nice, and it has special turf for special needs kids, it's cool to drive by and see the White Sox logo.

According to this (http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/cws/news/cws_news.jsp?ymd=20050112&content_id=930588&vkey=news_cws&fext=.jsp), the White Sox played the whiffle ball game Wednesday at the Hyatt. It is not clear if they are coming to Mt. Greenwood on Friday or not.
