I can hear Gene Honda now:

"Instead of Joe Borchard striking out all the time, he will be parking cars all season."

That would make me pretty happy.

Watch for your auto insurance premiums to go up, then.

Why would my premiums go up. Joe already proved he can't hit anything since he moved up to the bigs.

I am assuming this is not in teal because it is just too likely. They've sure picked a good time to jack up prices - as peoples' interest in the rivalry is waning. I'll take HD at home on my couch thanks, preferable to having beer spilled on my by rowdy, foul-mouthed, fratboy Cubs fans.

If there is a surprise announcement, which I don't think there will be, I think it will be that we have traded for Vazquez or signed Iguchi or both. I have seen mention that Shea Hillenbrand is supposed to be traded today, most likely to the Blue Jays. I wouldn't mind seeing Shea and Vazquez traded for Garland and Konerko, if we are trading those two anyways. I do not want to see Garland and Konerko go but for a chance at Vazquez, it might be worth it. I think Vazquez is a stud and last year in New York was an abberation (sp).

I think it would be really bad P.R. for the Sox to have him mingling with fans in the morning and traded in the afternoon. Konerko and Garland will remain with the Sox and Vazquez will remain with AZ.

i think that the big release will be that stoney will be in the media box along with hawk, which is a damn shame, poor d.j., he and hawk had such nice chemistry...

That shouldn't be in teal. You never know what those zany Mets are going to do next.

I hope they announce the renaming of the new Fundamentals area to 'Willie's House,' where peapod will take lessons on plate discipline from children and local celebraties, since he doesn't seem to respond well to the coaching staff.

The White Sox send Jon Garland, Paul Konerko and cash to the Pirates for Todd Ritchie. That would wrap up a great off-season.

It looks like one thing they'll be announcing are the renovations for NEXT year. I hope we finally get the UD in the OF.
U.S. Cellular Field Goes Green: Sample green seats, which will be re-introduced to the ballpark in 2005, will be available for fans to view, along with renderings of next year's renovation plans.
