According to whitesox.com these are our new players' numbers:

22-Podzilla
23-Dye
26-Hernandez
32-Hermanson
51-Vizcaino
12-Pierzynski

and oh yea...

17-Gload

I was kind of hoping since he retired, the Sox would retire #23 for Robin.

I was too! And whats up with Pods having #22? I was almost sure that they would retire it for Manos.

I was too! And whats up with Pods having #22? I was almost sure that they would retire it for Manos. Say what you will about Manos, but the guy was a gamer and loved playing for the White Sox. I won't miss the .230 average and the K's, but I will miss him in a weird, team leader-ish kinda way.

Yeah I agree.. won't miss the strike outs, will miss the stache and leadership.

Gotta love what Jose did while he was here (obviously not the average and errors). The guy was classy and was a spark for the team. He gave us 5 good years of ball.

I was wondering when the SOX were going to issue uniform numbers.
I see the SOX are sticking with #8 or #12 for catchers ..... :smile:
