He's been a career minor leaguer. His being 33 leads many to believe that he can't be a major leaguer. If we get another catcher, I would rather see him be our backup than Ben Davis.

I thought i remembered hearing something about him being older. Hopefully he can prove himself this year and not end up in the minors again.

How long has he been in the organization though? I mean we've had Olivo, Alomar, CJohnson, MJohnson, Fordyce, there was never really room for him until recently.

Wow. Can you imagine being a professional baseball player and being told you're not good enough to play ahead of Sandy Alomar, Josh Paul, Brook Fordyce, Miguel Olivo, and Mark Johnson?

Burke must have the intestinal fortitude of a bear to keep playing after those slights.

And lets us not forget the 3 or 4 game Mark Dalesandro era.

A 33 year old in the minors has already proven himself.

I think Jamie Burke joined the Sox organization in 2002. There's not much in his bio on the White Sox website, and I'm too lazy to walk upstairs to get my media guide, but in 2001 it looks like he was with the Angels.

Never forget the accomplishments of a St. Ignatius alum.

I'm Crash Davis. I'm you're new catcher and you just got lesson number one. Don't think. It can only hurt the team."

Let's not exaggerate the length of Moonlight Dalesandro's White Sox service. He played all of one inning for the Silver and Black (8/10/2001, 9th inning). The 2002 Sox Media Guide did not even list him on the Sox all time roster. This egregious omission was corrected in subsequent guides..
