Here's what I think the Royals 2005 lineup will, and should look like. Do you think they will do better?

1. CF Dejesus - Incredible speed
2. 3B Berroa - Terrible range, solid hitter, good arm to be moved to third
3. 1B Sweeney - Leader of the team
4. DH Harvey - 2004 All Star
5. LF Long - Medium power numbers, average hitter, better than what they had
6. C Buck - We saw when he played us how good he is gonna be
7. RF Nunez -Good fielder, potential to be a great doubles hitter
8. 2B Graffanino - An old fan favorite here
9. SS Gotay - Great fielder, hit .270 in limited time

P Lima
P Greinke - He's gonna be great soon
P Hernandez
P Anderson
P Snyder

Horrible bullpen

Do you think they will be better?

The Beltran trade did get them some good young prospects.

My vote is that they'll be exactly in-between 2003 and 2004 in terms of their numbers. They're certainly better than last year's team that ESPN had finishing either 1st or 2nd

They should improve somewhat, but will still finish last.

They can only go up after last years abysmal season.

I hope not, I think our Sox are going to have their hands full with the likes of the Twins and Indians, and no matter what, we always have problems with the Tigers too, and they are getting better.

The Sox are notorious for playing to their competition. Besides getting smoked annually by the Twins in the late part of the season regardless of how good they are, the Sox can play like World Series champs against the Yankees and Red Sox or lose 1-0 multiple times in a season to T.B. and Detroit. That's what needs to change around here. They need to have a consistent level of quality play.

With Lima back, KC better have HAZMAT personnel ready for 81 post game disinfection scrub-downs of the Royals clubhouse.

I see another season of them finishing dead last in the AL in ERA, and thus another season of finishing dead last in the AL in record.

They will play better than last year, but no way I see them finishing ahead of anyone in the AL Central, or even the AL for that matter.

I could see Cleveland finishing behind them.

With the addition of Terrence Long to their roster they have assured themselves a 90 loss season, they're a D'Angelo Jiminez signing away from 100 losses and a Billy Koch signing away from 120 loss season, he's one of the few guys who could make their bullpen worse.
