Did anybody get any cool / unexpected Sox gifts this holiday season?

I got an Old Comiskey facade that lights up. It is a really nice piece -- easily my favorite gift this year. Link (http://www.fathersday.d56.com/product_info.asp?sid=52121&sbid=52131&scid=52139&itemid=52156&strSection=villages)

Actually that shouldn't be in teal. I actually thought that specific starter was very unexpected and it was indeed a gift to Sox fans.

I asked for a batting practice jersey which apparently was a little much, but I did get a nice Sox hoody. Oh yeah!

I got a Sox windbreaker and an excellent Sox hoody. My personal favorite though was the beer stein I got with the '83 logo. I love that '83 logo.

If you go to www.Danburymint.com (http://www.danburymint.com/) and go to their sports link and then link to the White Sox, you can get a hand painted replica of the old Comiskey that is excellent. I bought a friend one of their models of Neyland Stadium (U of Tenn) and the detail is just incredible.

Santa's elves have been totally stymied in trying to fill the huge number of similar requests every year from Sox fans everywhere.

:reinsy

"Kenny's job depends on his success each Christmas"

:KW

"Don't worry JR, your mediocre baseball team is intact. As for Santa's elves working on this for Sox fans, I've more than matched WSI staff's dead troll count this year!"

I got the really nice, adjustable (I have a really big head and wool shrinks something fierce) Sox cap with the 1983 colors, from the Cooperstown Collection. I have to take it off my head when I go to work, but other than that, it's been a fixture.

An authentic #19 Greg Luzinski warmup jersey from the early 80's (with LOA). XXL, but fits like a modern day XL.....very sweet!

That 2005 World Series title would be nice too....:dtroll: :dtroll: :dtroll:

My son got me a paperweight, it's about 2" x 2" x 3" and glass or crystal. Floating inside of this crystal block is the Sox logo (Sox in diagonally descending Old English letters) along with a bat, glove, and ball. All of these things are etched into the middle of the block, you can barely see them when you look at it from the side. I'm sure this sounds kind of strange from my lame-o description, but I really like it.

I got the book "Through Hope and Despair: A Fan's Memories of the Chicago White Sox 1967-97" by Dan Helpingstine. Includes a special thanks to George Bova and his website, www.whitesoxinteractive.com (http://www.whitesoxinteractive.com)! It's awesome. Own it, read it, cherish it.I asked for a Sox jersey, but instead I scored a Jason Bay Pirates jersey, which rocks your ass.

I saw the at Bed Bath and Beyond, they were by the registers. Actually, the call is the famous Valentin homer to beat the Cubs in 03. It says:
"(bat crack) That one goes way back, he looks up.. you cannnnn put it on the boardddd YES! Jose Valentin! And the Sox win it!"

There's a website on the box, for www.hg3dworld.com (http://www.hg3dworld.com).
They don't have my White Sox one there to see, but you can get an idea of the look from the many other ones shown here. There's a phone number on the website. Looks like they're locally made, the address is nearby Hinsdale.

He got it from one of the free-standing sales carts at Yorktown mall here in Lombard.

I got a red, White Sox t-shirt with the sock in the diamond on the sleeve, which I feel looks very sharp. I also got the batting practice cap with the mesh, so I'll finally have a cap that isn't wool and won't shrink the first time it gets wet. Then the day after Christmas I got a cool Pixies pin that looks really good on the hat. With this Xmas' haul and my grey road jersey from last xmas, I'll be stylin' at Soxfest, tickets for which I just bought with my Christmas money.
