Mostly because Kenny Williams made a stupid comment in public.

Meanwhile, we have Burke and Davis...one of two instant outs to pick from. If only they had teal bananas.

Ya, but they have Utley to play 2nd and they definitely want to get rid of him, so expect him to be traded before spring training.

I selected other because I would really like to see Polonco in a Sox uniform, but... I don't think we could afford another trade. For Polonco, the Phillies would command a lot in return... probably some players we can't afford to give up.

Though his OBP is right around Willie's, his experience, consistency and power would be a HUGE upgrade. And... would be worth the 5m in salary... But like I said, can the Sox afford to give up prospects at this stage of the game?

I picked Cairo because he did a decent job with the Yankees last year. Also, he is insurance in case Harris doesn't pan out again.
