If only there was a Sox jacket with a hood, Grandstand would have $100+ more of my money than they otherwise have now.

Shame.

Still selling the 2003 All-Star Game Merchandise...That sucks...must be taking a bath on it. There is tons of that stuff all over the store. I can only imagine how much more they have in inventory.

Hrm...my search for a 1980 Ed Farmer Jersey may have come to an end.

Behold. (https://secure.chicagoproducers.net/grandstandsox_com/store/view_product.php?product=WHIVP17Q3)

The collar on that is different from the 1980 jersey, which is annoyingly only available in 72/Fisk, but I believe that it could pass for a 1980 jersey. Now, I wonder if Grandstand can put 22/Farmer on there in the same color and font...

Hold out for a '76-'81 jersey. I just don't think that one looks even close to it.

I'm thinkin about picking up the all star mousepad for $10. I have a White Sox mouse pad at the moment, but it's been worn out thanks to me being on WSI so much the past few years.

10 bucks? I bought a new Sox mousepad at the Garage Sale last year for a dollar. Hell, Grandstand is selling '03 ASG t-shirts for 5 bucks, so definitely don't give them 10 for a mousepad. That's highway robbery.

Any rumors on when one of those would become available in anything other than Fisk?

I mean, I'm sure Fisk was a decent player, but somebody needs to realize that there were 24 other guys on that team, and that they have fans too.

That's highway robbery. the stuff always seems to be more expensive online than it is in the actual store. unfortunately, i live in the part of illinois where only the cubs exist so i can't buy any stuff in person. i might try to go to the sox fest this year and maybe someone will have a cheap one there. if not, i can always get the WSI mousepad to use while browsing WSI forums!

Veeck "revived" this look in 1976, making the 76-81 jerseys the first true sports throwback jerseys (another example of Veeck being a sports pioneer). Check out the Sox Uniform Guide (http://www.whitesoxinteractive.com/rwas/index.php?category=3&id=2104).
