4 years, 40 mill, no NoTradeClause, but there is "protective language" in the contract. And some people actually thought that he was going to come to Chicago...LOL

The heart and soul of the World Series Champs is back. This was one of the most important signings of the offseason of the Red Sox. It's good to see that Varitek told Boras not to negotiate with any other team until January 8.
