Does anyone know how Frank's injury is healing and what the time table is for his return? I have heard everything from being ready for spring training to June to never---anyone with the inside scoop?

I have no insider info but Ozzie is the one who mentioned June. Ozzie just talks. If Frank has been in a cast for a while I would say he'll be ready to play by at least the start of May. Frank is a hard worker who usually storms back after injury. It's a form of motivation for the big guy. I think saying he doesn't expect him back until June is Ozzie's little way of pushing Frank.

I am next door neighbors with Frank, and it doesn't look great, hes out and active a lot, but in terms of his ankle I am afraid it could be that he wont come back until after the season starts. There is also a possibility that his ankle wont heal correctly, meaning he wont play at all

Thomas does spend his offseason in Vegas and unless Grayven's dad runs a casino or something...I'm gonna go out on a limb and say thats not a very credible source. The last I saw in print was on the same day, December 11th, when Kenny Williams said that he expected Frank to be ready for opening day and the writer said that Everett could fill in for Frank if he's not ready. Right now it seems like anybody's guess, but the June speculation doesn't seem to be holding a lot of water. I think Ozzie was just mouthing off again.

Levine is in for Mariotti this morning and touched on this subject very briefly. Basically, Frank had a ankle surgery to insert a screw for joint stabalization and his recovery will largely be dependent on the commitment put forth by The Hurt. If he doesn't get into shape and rehab hard, he may NEVER be the same and this could be a career threatening injury... Assuming this doesn't occur, most in the organization are hoping for a April/May return, with a rehab stint and not seeing Frank in top-notch form by June.

frank was seen on crutches at red no 5 at hubbard and halsted two weeks ago. ironic that this is a dance club. robbie alomar used to hang there too. however, for a guy who always gripes about money, he tipped the valet very well.

I don't think Frank gripes about not having any money. He gripes about what he earns and market value and respect and blah blah blah. He's never cried poor and actually has a reputation for being very generous with his wealth.

I saw Frank sky diving in Oswego with his crutches. He screams like a little girl, but he had fun. I went after him, and I screamed on my way down like he did. He gave me a dirty look and waved his crutch at me in a mean way...

Well, I think you are all full of crap. He spent his offseason completing his CIA mission. He had to rescue a foreign official from a pit of exploding vampires. He's working on his rehab assignment right now to get over the wounds. He's stationed in Pickwick, TN.
