guys,

LIMA TIME would be great. i've always loved this guy, herpes or not. he's always having a good time, and just seems like instant clubhouse chemistry. maybe an ozzie junior, player version.

if he can put up 12-15 wins with an era around 4, 4.5, i think it would be a big success. plus, he'd probably be relatively cheap (~ 3-5 mil/yr), making things a little more realistic...

get on the bandwagon, because....

IT'S LIMA TIME!!!

I don't care much for Lima beans. Not that I have anything against beans...I like most beans, just not lima beans.

Jose Lima in a hitters park is a recipe for disaster. Just ask the Astros. Not only that, but Lima in the American League has all the makings of a 6 ERA. I'll pass on him. El Duque is a much better option than Lima.

As if Diaz and Grilli aren't?

No thanks. We're talking about a flyball pitcher who strikes out about four batters per 9 innings. That is a recipe for disaster.

Not interested. This guy hasn't been the same pitcher since the Astros moved into Minute Made Park in 2000. Since then, he's been terrible. Flyball pitchers don't do well playing half their games in the 'Cell. Lima is a disaster waiting to happen.

Actually, after looking at ESPN's park factors, the cell gives up about 25% more runs than dodger stadium, so Lima time's ERA last year, were he on the sox, would be closer to 5 than 4...

BUT WE'D HAVE LIMA TIME!

I think this guys "joke" is to be living in the past. He said Will Clark should be our DH.

The joke would be a lot funnier if it was actually...funny.

Oh...I see...

Either way, Lima would be a terrible pick up, and I don't think his attitude would go very well in the clubhouse.

Besides being terribly inconsistent, isn't Jose Lima the guy who let Sosa hit the record breaking HR off him by throwing fastballs over the middle of the plate.

No thank you to this fool.

I'd rather have inconsistency than consistent disaster.

At US Cellular Field and in the AL, he would be a consistant disaster

FWIW - right afte reading your post - I did vomit. Might not have had anything to do with Lima, or your post, but I still vomited. Consider it a bad omen.
