I'm excited about the revamped bullpen. Having watched in person the back-to-back games where the bullpen walked in the winning run in Detroit last season, I felt it was one of the big holes that needed to be plugged, and KW's done it.

I agree. They have made some vast improvements to the ballpark moving it from strerile and near the bottom of the league to near the middle of the pack. A few more cosmetic mods and hopefully an upperdeck/party deck type of area in right field targeted to the average fan now that the children (Fun-damentals) and wealthy (Scout Seats/Restaurant) have been taken care of.

Back to thread...Great atmosphere to watch a game.

Having less than half the chance of discovering which one of our can't-miss hitters (Maggs, Konerko, CLee, Frank) will mire themselves in a huge slump that affects the entire team.

But seriously, while I still don't have huge hopes for '05 unless KW can secure a legitimate #3 or higher pitcher, I do look forward to seeing a smarter and faster White Sox core that's less reliant on the 5-run home run and can hopefully beat the Twins at their own game.

Everything. I'm just looking forward to the season. And we're still 3 1/2 months away! :o:

More specifically, I'm looking forward to...

...seeing Podsednik (if he's still here) causing havoc on the basepaths and in opposing pitchers minds.

...seeing Aaron Rowand and Juan Uribe continue to progress.

...seeing a full season of Buehrle, Garcia, Contreras, (and hopefully Clement/Hudson/RJ/Perez).

...seeing Frank and PK continue to mash opposing pitchers.

...seeing our new and improved bullpen finish off the quality starts from our starting pitchers.

...seeing Jermaine Dye remain healthy and play a full year in the Cell.

...seeing Joe Crede surprise everyone and prove all the doubters wrong.

Exactly. Though I am much more nervous that this team might not even compete, I also have a great deal of nervous excitement because this is a very different team. This team could be the right mix. The last few years, I've pretty much felt the same faint hope, but never excitement.

Frank Thomas for nearly a full season. Nothing beats that.

Juan Uribe and Aaron Rowand potentially turning into stars next year.

Freddy Garcia for a full year

Jose Contreras improving

Joe Crede becoming a league average third baseman

Mark Buehrle pitching like....Mark Buehrle

Podsednik swiping 50+ bases and being a legit leadoff hitter for us.

Brandon McCarthy and Brian Anderson likely making their major league debuts.

Potentially the best overall rotation we've had (assuming we sign someone) since 1994

A bullpen which will rival that of the 2000 team
