View Full Version : Remember the Sox made an offer to Walker?

Todd Walker said the Sox made a "fair" offer when he signed with the Cubs, didn't he? I doubt KW was offering up cash ear marked for Dye or Hermanson, although that is possible. Anyhow, I see the Sox as doing one of two things:

1. Sign a SP like Perez, Clement. (Highly unlikely)

2. Sign a veteran starter like Lima for Duque and upgrade at 2B for $2.5mil total. Then, KW has from $3to 6 mil to play with at the deadline.

Not sure about which would be better. Why do I get the feeling the whole season depends on Thomas' comeback anyways?

i agree with idea 1 & 2. This sounds like a solid plan to add more players.
Please clarify about spending the extra money at the deadline. Which deadline are you refering to?
