Just Curious...

In the 2004 Roberto Alomar trade (not 2003!), who ended up being the White Sox "player to be named later" in the deal??

on a somewhat related note, has anyone noticed Jon Rouch's line as an Expo???

3-0, 1.54 ERA, 18 K, 7 BB, 0.9 WHIP, 6.94 K/9, .175 AVG

Those are sick numbers.

That trade is going to come back and bite the Sox in the arse. If he stays healthy, Rauch is going to be a solid major league starter.

If he stays healthy
I agree with your conclusion, but this phrase should be in deeppink.

I am a big fan of big Jon, but there's nothing to support the idea of him ever staying healthy. Hell when we drafted him he was coming off a bout with meningitis. 2000 was the only healthy season of his entire career.

Only if Leo Mazzone gets a hold of him. Otherwise, the best he could be is a good reliever.

Can we stop talking about Jon Rauch in the Sox Clubhouse...last I checked he was not a member of the Sox.

Get over it people...who cares how Rauch does if he no longer pitches for us.

yes but we did trade him. By the looks of the market starting pitchers are quite valueable

No, he's not. I've seen his pitches from fairly close. No over-powering velocity, very little movement.

He'd be good for batting practice.

I'll bet you could hit major league pitching, though.

Well... my personal ability has no bearing on whether or not Rauch has velocity or movement on his pitches.

But heck, since you brought it up and the chance of me having to actually prove myself is slim to none... I had already let it be known that I think so little of his talent that I'm confident I could be a .200 hitter if I hit exclusively off of Rauch.

a .200 hitter with nobody playing the field, maybe.

Yes, that was my point. Believe me, I'm no Babe Ruth. I'm no Willie Harris either.

Back on the subject, does anybody know who it was? This question has been asked at least a couple of times and everybody always changes the subject. Usually Jeremy Reed comes up at least once or twice. But I don't think anyone knows.

Ha ha, how could Jeremy Reed come up if he plays for the Mariners? :?: (remember Freddy Garcia??) Are you confused or other people just don't know what's going on?

He means it in the same fact that Rauch came up this time. People start bringing up we shouldnt have traded Reed
