Part of Saturday's Winter Meetings chatter included talk of the Marlins moving A.J. Burnett for the Yankees' Vazquez and cash. A major league source confirmed that discussion had taken place. The Marlins would likely need no less than $10 million to make the deal work.I guess they would rather have the security of Vazquez being locked in for 3 more years. Otherwise, Burnett makes more sense and is probably the better pitcher.

Wow, the Yankees didnt pull the trigger on that trade. Considering the money that the Yankees have, pulling a trade on a pitcher such as this one is a no brainer. Burnett was one of the top three on throwing 95 mph or more and at this point of his career you would figure that they would take a chance.

Wow, drinking 8 icehouse's makes it hard to type. It took me 1/2 hour to type this. Then again, I cant believe that the Yanks didnt take a chance on this.

Boston Gammons reporting this is officially dead. Well as officially as it can be when reported by that lunatic, anyway.
