Damn.Heh, don't worry. The Sox were never anywhere near acquiring Renteria. Look for the Cardinals to sign Orlando Cabrera now.

Theo Epstein was on Boston TV tonight saying this rumor was false. The Sox are talking to Renteria's agent but there's been no deal.
