Just in case anyone was waiting for that last second miracle.

Offering arbitration to any of those four would instantly put me on the side of KW Haters.

I'm not the biggest Valentin fan here, but I'm intrigued by the concept of creating new holes before filling other ones. Can someone explain the math for those of us new to this complicated methodology? :?:

Last year's trade for Uribe was meant to be this year's replacement for Valentin. Kenny only dabbled in Vizquel because he thought he could get him cheap and upgrade 2B by keeping Uribe there.

Sad that these are likely to be the best four moves Kenny makes this offseason.

Uribe is a good player who can start at second, third or short. If we want to contend, we need to acquire two more starting infielders to replace Crede and Harris. In opinion, acquiring two starting infielders is our biggest need right now, along with an outfielder to replace Maggs.

The sox simply have to decide whether to tender him an offer or not. My guess is they will not.

Ok, who wants in on the Over/Under for what date we trade for Robby Alomar again this year?

Maybe we could trade Carl Everett for him.
