Does anyone know where I can find one of these, or any Sox throwback hat, either at a store or online? I know they have them at the cell, but I can't find them anywhere else, except ones with the goofy material. I am looking for a wool one. Also, does anyone know a good website where you can get Sox jerseys?

Thats where I got mine. They also have a few on sportmart.com. I look around for like a year for the 83 hat, they stopped making it for a while, and a few months after I paid $30 from this site, they started selling them everywhere again.

They are also selling the hats at sportmart in Orland Park.

They had a bout 10 of those hats at the store on Monday.
They were asking $17 FOR THEM.

Im into nostalgia and all, but I cant fathom how those 1917,18 and 19 hats are sold out. Ever seen anyone walking around the Cell wearing one of those goofy hats?

Anyone wanting the '83 hats has got to be nuts. I grew up in that era, and liked them then, but quite honestly, that era of baseball uniforms was absolutley tasteless.

If this doesn't work, go to amazon and do a search for Chicago White Sox under apparel. My wife ordered me the 87 hat for XMAS.:D:

They had them yesterday at a store in Downers Grove (75th and Lemont Rd.). In fact they have just about everything there. Right by Toys 'R Us on the Northwest corner of the intersection.

I'm planning on getting that 1917 one next time I get paid. I'm building up a collection of Sox caps, I have the current design, the early 70s design, and the Go-Go Sox design.

Man fashion trends really do change quickly. A year and a half ago, all I saw were 83 caps in basically every Foot Locker or Hat World...I even wore one for a while. It was the fitted wool one, too. But it had "1983" in place of the current MLB logo on back (which weren't on MLB caps until 93 or so).

I have an even more difficult request. I am looking for a sox winter hat (stocking cap style) with the south side hit men era sox logo on it. I saw someone wearing one at the park in the early season. I have never seen it anywhere else.

Is this what you are looking for? Sox cap on eBay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=24649&item=5146513312&rd=1)

That's the style of hat I am looking for. However, the logo is the one that shows the top half of a player in his batting stance.

The site you provided does have hats that have that logo. They are red, white and navy and have the ball on the top. The one I saw was navy with no ball. It's preety specific and I have never seen it anywhere except on one person.

On a slightly related note, this picture from the grandstand website is funny to me.

http://www.grandstandsox.com/images/players_01.jpg

They remind me of being at a keg party in college. There's the two guys who maybe dressed up too much (Paulie and Buehrle), the two guys who're 'just kickin' it' (Shingo and Jose), the not-hard-to-spot square (Carlos), and the overanimated guy with questionably sassy fashion sense (Ozzie and his white flip-flops).

Someone needs to proofread this (https://secure.chicagoproducers.net/grandstandsox_com/store/view_product.php?product=WHIQ9ECF10&PHPSESSID=8c7c57d865be144f41cb9aa640aff8f3).

This is a custom 3930 batting practice hat, designed by New Era. The 3930 is the official MLB batting cap - It's what the pros wear! The 3930 are very comfortable and made with a breathable fabric. Available in three sizes, to fit most everyone. This hat is a fan favorite now, with the 90's being the Ozzie era... It is a all navy blue hat with the 1990 "campbell soup c" logo on the front. Seems like a silly remark to make, seeing as this cap was only worn for one season during the 90s.

Not to mention the grammatical error in the following sentence.

I still don't understand why the 1981 jersey is available in #72 only. There was more than one guy on that team, you know.

I'm thinking of ordering this hat (https://secure.chicagoproducers.net/grandstandsox_com/store/view_product.php?product=WHIWAIHR11) from Grandstand, but I need some help. Can anyone tell if that's a raised logo (meaning a brand new hat) or an 80's style flat logo (meaning old stock). Anyone with Grandstand experience who can speak to this would be appreciated.

The photo looks like an old stock cap, not a new raised logo. Are you ever in Chicago? A quick trip to the store would answer the question. Everytime I'm in there I see two or three brothers at the counter trying on every hat in the store.

Man, Grandstand can't give the 2003 all-star game merchadise away. The hats and t-shirts are rock bottom cheap.

It is all even cheaper in the story...Pretty soon they will just eat it and give it to charity to take the tax deduction when that amount gets larger than the revenue they can sell that stuff for.

I bought that hat at Grandstand back in April. It is NOT a raised logo. I wish it were, but still a nice hat.

http://www.whitesoxinteractive.com/rwas/index.php?category=3&id=2104The most extensive ball cap site in existence. Every hat you could possible imagine - from MLB, negro leagues, minor leagues, women's leagues, prison leagues, military leagues, , native american leagues - everything from the 1946 Birmingham Barons to '86 Denver Zephyrs, the '48 Springfield Sallies to the '24 Baltimore Black Sox,(which looks amazingly like the '80s White Sox logo), the '72 Soviet Ameteur team to the '39 LaGuardia Airport team. Every single MLB hat ever worn. You've got to check this out - all hats are hand made to order
