Teams looking to land a cheap catcher can have Charles Johnson if they convince him to waive his no-trade rights. The Devil Rays could not. Colorado may eat as much as $8.25 million of his $9 million salary...
I wouldn't mind seeing him back (http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sports/columnists/cs-041204rogers,1,7778332.column?coll=cs-home-utility), especially if Colorado picks up most of his salary.

But now I fear his bat speed and defensive skills have eroded to the point where Colorado would love to move him.

If Colorado picked up 25-40% of his salary I would gladly take him back. But no way is the Charles Johnson of today worth $8-9M dollars

Colorado was talking about picking up most of the contract. I would prefer A.J. Pryzinski. tough attitude and LH.
