I guess these deals basically cinch up the pennant for the yankees.

EDIT - Then again, I suppose that is two ex-cubs off the team, which is always good.

Right now their pen is:

Rivera
Gordon
Rodriquez
Stanton
Sturze
Quantrill

That is an awesome bullpen. Not as great as LA's was before the dealine last year, but arguably more deep. If Quantrill bounces back, he can be one of the top setup guys in the AL.

This marks the third time that Stanton has played the Yankees, IIRC. They keep bringing him back again and again.

He is always good for 6 solid innings and then they could throw that wrecking crew into the game in the 7th.

I guess you can only have one Felix on your team.

Good trades by the Yanks. Felix Rodriguez has a good arm and can throw it 95-97 MPH, Kenny Lofton was hurt 3 times last year and was :whiner: for more playing time, and the fact that the Yanks got something for Felix "Horridia" is an accomplishment itself.

Just goes to show how Brian Cashman isn't an idiot and not just any idiot could be doing what Cashman is doing. This bullpen seriously needed depth. What did he do? Trade a crappy reliever straight up for a better one and a not very useful 4th outfielder for a really good reliever.

I honestly have absolutely no recollection of this. Maybe I blocked it out of my memory on purpose?
