I was surfing www.baseball-reference.com (http://www.baseball-reference.com/) to check out some of Ron Schueler's moves in the early 90's, and I noticed "Derek Lee" was claimed off of waivers by Minnesota back on October 5, 1992. I clicked on his stats, and I couldn't help but laugh at the sponsor.

Derek might just be the aquisition the Cubs need to take them to the 2004 World Series. Please write me if you would like tickets to see Derek (and the Cubs) at beautiful Wrigley Field :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao:

The guy probably didn't know, but it is pretty smart trying to profit off of the misspelling because scrub drones will pay ridiculous amounts of money for scrub tickets. Heck, sCrUB fans buy bootlegged shirts that say Kerry Woods on the back!

http://www.baseball-reference.com/l/leede01.shtmlLet's not laugh at this guy too much. He never says the Cubs WILL go to the Word Series. He says Lee MIGHT put the Cubs over the top, and to buy your tickets from him. In the process, he's making an obscene profit off of fools who are stupid enough buy into the trendiness of the Cubs. Where can I sign up to take my cut?

Do you mean Derrick May, the big bust left fielder for the 92 era cubs?

Anybody else notice this about Mr. Lee?

June 1, 1988: Drafted by the Chicago White Sox (http://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/CHW/1988.shtml) in the 42nd round of the 1988 amateur draft.

That's how I found it. This isn't the same "Derrek Lee" that plays first base for the scrubs right now.
The Sox also drafted a "Brian Giles" and a "Bob Gibson."
