He's a good backup. I don't understand why we don't get players like him for cheap that'll do the job at a less important position. Instead we're gonna go in with Davis, who's a backup, and Burke who's a minor leaguer. We're gonna be absolutely screwed at catcher next year, mark my words. The Twins already have Mauer and Blanco, the latter is better than anyone we have, and they're still signing good backups.

Great, another small acquistion by the twins. These types of signings for the twins always turn out to be sox-killers :(:

Blanco is a FA because of the number of at bats he got this year. This is a backup C only.

and imagine if we got rid of pauly, we'd have burke and gload, 2 minor leaguers, in our starting lineup. Probably along with willie harris, and an aaron rowand who probably wont come close to his last years numbers, scary
