I know this has been discussed on the Visquel threads, but I think it deserves its own. Now that Omar is out of the picture, I think the Sox should turn their attention to 2B. Let's face it, Renteria is too $$$, Nomar is overrated and falls apart faster than a house of cards, and there is not much after that via free agency (please no Guzman). I think moving Uribe to SS and getting a new second baseman is the wiser move.

Like many here, I like Palanco. Walker would also due, but his defense worries me a bit. Harriston via trade is a more likely scenario. I am just in favor of stocking the lineup with affordable grinder type players and putting a greater percentage of payroll towards proven pitching.

Like it or not, I think we're stuck with Crede at 3B.
