Angels want Piazza?

Interesting. Ken Rosenthal is reporting that the Angels want Mike Piazza as a DH and backup 1B/C. I guess we're going to have to get used to the Angels acting like the Yankees now that Arte Moreno is trying to steal attention from the Dodgers. Too bad we don't have an owner like that.

Well, I guess Jose Guillen works in that deal, maybe with a prospect or two. The Angels will need someone to hit fifth after Guillen and Glaus are gone. Of all the trade rumors involving Piazza, Green, Sosa, etc, this one makes the most sense.

I hope this happens, but I've also heard the Dodgers are talking with the Mets about Shawn Green. I'l take Piazza over Glaus, if I can't have both.
