Thanks for the list!

FYI -- Al Levine (Detroit) used to pitch for the Sox.

Someone named Robin Ventura who plays first base for the Dodgers is a free agent? Is he related to the Robin Ventura, formerly of the White Sox, who played THIRD base, but retired after the Dodgers exited the playoffs?

Is he related to the Robin Ventura, formerly of the White Sox, who played THIRD base, but retired after the Dodgers exited the playoffs? As odd as it seems, Robin played first base about 3 times more than he played third base in 2004. He logged 210 innings in 40 games at first, compared to just 62 innings in 11 games at third.

So... as I look upon these names, ponder our outfield situation, and recall that Jerry will probably only pry open the change purse for inexpensive "grinders"...

Todd Hollandsworth and Jeromy Burnitz are the only names that pop out at me.

Sigh. I guess Hollandsworth would not be so bad. After two months of Borchard, my expectations are pretty low...

I thought I was getting senile when I couldn't remember Ruben Sierra playing for the Sox.

Then I checked and realized that he played a whopping 29 games for the Sox in 1998. I must have been out making a sandwich at the time...

I keep trying to forget Billy Koch "piched" for us................Don't you mean Billy Krotch?

Does anyone remember hearing the interview on the radio after a game in which Billy excused himself from the interview by claiming he had to "drop the kids off at the pool?"
