I think that despite his potential cost Giambi would be a good deal for us. We trade Konerko & perhaps Baldwin for him & we get a well known star who will put butts in the seats & make Uncle Jerry quit whining about attendance.

Agree. Giambi is the kind of marketable superstar the Sox need. Love Thomas but for some reason he performs more like a cog (an important one) in the machine than a leader of the team.

Does anyone have any idea when his contract expires? Giambi's contract that is.

He's done. He's walking after the season. That's why Oakland needs to move him.
