Has anyone ever had so many top players at once?

Saw a shortlist of Boras' FA clients this offseason: Maggs, Beltran, Drew, Beltre, Varitek, Millwood, Lowe. Amazing - he's going to be VERY busy this offseason. I can't recall one agent ever having so many of the top guys in the same offseason.

Heck, at this point, the best move for him might be to buy the Expos/Nationals, and populate them with his own players!

In the original free agent class Jerry Kapstein had an incredible group of players including guys like Reggie Jackson, Bobby Grich, "Catfish" Hunter, Rollie Fingers, Don Baylor and so on.

Read the book The Lords Of The Realm. He has entire chapters devoted to how he set up shop in Providence Rhode Island and auctioned off his guys one by one.
