I would have to say he was the single worst pitcher ever in a Sox uniform. Made Koch as a Sox look like Bruce Sutter.

I think I've been following the Sox too long then...I've seen worse. Much worse....

I caught the end of that segment. Leno made a comment like: "Here's your World Series champion Red Sox--giving Cubs fans everywhere hope." The L.A. crowd cheered. ***

Does this serve as an indictment on the pitching coaches / player development staff we had at the time he was here?

What does it say about Leno's drawing power that the hottest Red Sox player he can get on his show is future Hall of Famer and belovèd hero to boys and girls everywhere, Alan Embree?

Derek Lowe, second from left, picks confetti from the hair of Jay Leno as Mike Timlin, far left, Alan Embree, David Ortiz and Dave Roberts, far right, look on during their visit to the Tonight Show with Jay Leno

Agosto was actually a pretty competant set up guy, especially with Houston. Recent worse-than-Embrees would include Mike Jackson.

To the original point of the thread, agreed all around--Leno sucks. Johnny Damon had the good taste to go on Letterman last night.

They applauded only because the cue cards told them to...

When did Derek Lowe morph into Scott Stapp, former frontman of Creed?

I STRONGLY second that! I bitched about him every time he came to the mound for us. He did nothing at all good for us and it has taken him this long to finally prove he is a decent reliever.
