Since I'm sure many WSI folk will be attending various drunken Halloween parties this coming weekend, share some ideas for funny costumes that involve baseball.

I might go as a Cubs fan who has committed suicide. Even in its ironic context, I am having a strong supernatural resistance to purchasing Cub merchandise for the costume.

You could always be Rafael Furcal (http://www.halloweenstreet.com/images/products/51/351_xl.jpg), or Dusty Baker's coaching philosophy (http://www.prankplace.com/images/costumes/toiletseat.jpg), or The White Sox big offseason acquistion (http://www.halloweenstreet.com/images/products/41/1741_xl.jpg).

You can always just have a beer on one hand and a tissue on the other.

I'll likely be on the North Side, so I'm going for maximum dramatic effect. :D:

Last year I went as post-game Bartman, beaten up, broken glasses, torn and bloody sweatshirt with plastic cubs, super pretzels and peanut bags stapled to the sweatshirt. A bit old this year if you ask me. Maybe you can go as moises and dye some batting gloves yellow or something.

All very good ideas...although I'd rather have a bullet in my skull than a Cubs hat on it, so the Moisture idea doesn't work out. It would probably work for someone with less hatred in their hearts. haha

I bought the plain blue cap at Mejier for $5, but the red marker just didn't work well on it.

Get a Cub hat, and either a Sosa, Alou, Mercker or Hawkins jersey, and put them on. But instead of baseball pants, wear a skirt.

I like that. I like that one the most. I'll give you full credit on that idea if I decide to do that

If you could stomach wearing a ScRuBs shirt, put a women's nylon stocking over your head and go as a Wrigleyville Mugger.

I told my friend (who is actually a Cubs fan) that he should just wear his Cubs hat and jersey with a noose around his neck. It can symbolize two things:

Either a Cubs fan who is "fed up" with the Cubs losing OR
the fact that the Cubs CHOKED again!!!

Last year, I had a Kerry Wood t-shirt and sewed a severed-off hand to it and placed it as to be choking my throat. I said - "Hey, it's just a quote from Keri after game #7 of NLCS - I choked."

I just came up with this one last night...

Dress up as a goat and carry around a little bear with a rope around it's neck. :D:
