I've seen him smirk before, but that's about it.

He just sits there with his chin down, staring with that cold, Frankenstein glare, waiting to put in Rivera. He's got a sweet gig.

He smiles all the way to the bank, cashing World Series checks and putting World Series rings in a lock box. A concept that is completely foreign to generations of White Sox fans.Lip

In interviews, he smiles all the time. The jowels make it kind of hard to see, but he really seems to be a very good-natured guy.

I don't see the point of bearing ill will toward Torre by association. He seems to hate Steinbrenner as much as anybody, but given the option to manage that team, who in his right mind would turn the boss down?

I've seen him smile a few times. But more times than not, he's usually picking his nose when they show him.

Is it just me or does Joe Torre look like the dad from the wonder years?

Actually, I think John Flaherty has the sweetest gig on the Yankees. He's played in what, 50 games this year?

I'm sure he was smiling in 96, 98, 99 and 2000
