got this on espn's rumor page.

July 25: While the Arizona Daily Star reports that the D-Backs have "steadfastly refused all trade offers for Durazo," Jayson Stark reports that he could be moved in a "monstrous deal." Among the names being floated out there are James Baldwin of the White Sox, Albie Lopez of the Devil Rays and Sterling Hitchcock (who starts Wednesday against the D-Backs) or Woody Williams of the Padres. Those names may not be big enough for Arizona to pull the trigger. The Daily Star also reported that Arizona turned down an offer of Jason Isringhausen for Durazo.

i wonder how 'Monstrous' a deal would have to be. would paulie and JB be enough. i'd hate to see paulie go cause he is a huge fan fav. but not sure if you could pass up on a talent like durazo

Durazo is what, 25 or 26 years of age? And left handed?

The deal doesn't make sense. If you do trade Konerko for Durazo, why would you get another 1B anyway since you have :liefer waiting in the wings?
