Quick!! Somebody give the Cubs the Heimlich maneuver!!! They're choking!!!! I love it!! That's alot more painful than a blowout. Great game by Prior and the offense leaves 20 men on base. One full game back with three left. And it couldn't happen to a more miserable bunch of douche bags. C'mon Braves, finish them!!!

Someone mentioned now we can give Cubs fans hell for choking like they did to us after the Minnesota series last year. Choking in any form is terrible, but at least the Sox choked against the eventual division champs and not 2 horrible teams the last week of the season. What a great day. Go Giants!

I hate to admit it, but I'm glad that the Cubs are performing the royal choke job here. The Astros seemed primed to win this thing too. Either way the drudgery that is the White Sox season will be lessened once the Cubs are out of it. Go Braves!!!

They still have a chance though... a lot depends on if the Giants can win tonight. That would place two teams a game up on them with three to go.

Let's hope the end comes soon. I don't want to have to wait on Sunday's results. (and while we're at it let's hope the Sox can win two games to at least get a 'winning' season out of this bad year)

While I am gleeful that the Cubs' backs are against the wall, let us not start counting our chickens before they hatch. The Cubs are still alive and would get eliminated on Saturday at the earliest, if my magic number math is correct.

Yeah, as much as I'm enjoying this, the Astros can pull a choke job and lose 3 straight or 2 of 3, while the Cubs steal a few from the Braves. So, go Braves! Go Astros! :supernana: :supernana: :supernana:

It was sooooooooooooooooooo wonderful this afternoon in the office.......bottom of the 12th......two on, two out.....Flub fans all over with their radios on, excited chatter.........then......a collective agonizing groan followed by silent radios. I LOVE IT!!!!!

Then they accused me of smirking. I tried to convince them I was crying for their pain, they knew me too well.:D:

They blew the first half of the season all by themselves. THis was "their" divsion just as much as the flubs. It's going to be great to me if Anaheim, SF, Cards, Yanks all make it in. High run scoring teams that won it with the run-scoring and power

:whiner: just like my sox would've done
