Looks like an Indians player was shot in the calf while on the team's bus after last night's game.

That is crazy heard about that on the radio this morning. Just glad to hear it was minor injury, nothing serious. What do you think that would do mentally to a pitcher everytime they come back there. Even though it didnt happen at the game, I gotta think that would mess with your head a little bit. Well hope he comes out with no problems at all, what shame that would be.

What did they do? Did they take the scenic route back to the hotel in KC that took them through Chicago and around The Cell?

"It was obviously the work of crazed Sox fans on vacation in Kansas City."

The thing that stopped the bullet from going deep into his leg was the go go Boots he was wearing - part of the Cheerleading costume rookies were forced to wear on the road trip.

That must have been a strange trip to the ER. :o:

He's serious:

In Cleveland, The Plain Dealer reported that as part of a rookie hazing ritual, Denney was wearing a USC cheerleader's outfit, including high white boots, on the trip to the airport.

"Our trainers said the boots may have saved Kyle from further injury," Swain said.

"This article is obviously false, after all, I've been to all the ballparks in baseball and I can tell you that violent behavior only happens at US Cellular Field."

~Did the Kevlar boots survive?
~Have the pix made it to Smokinggun.com yet?
~Will this bring Milton Bradley's childish on-field display into prespective?
