It was nice to see a team show some guts towards the Flubs. I still don't know how they did it with that lineup. Let's hope they have 2 more games like that.

It is a shame that MLB doesn't make the schedule any easier for the Cubs in September, I want to see them play Pittsburgh 19 times this month.

Please don't shoot me! I took my girlfriend's son to last night's Cub game. It's his first year in Chicago and I've already turned him into a baseball and Sox fan. My girlfriend got free tix at work, good seats too, third row upperdeck behind home plate. Needless to say, he wasn't impressed with the Urinal. He was disappointed when I told them the Cubs don't have fireworks or Fundamentals for kids. He complained about the odor of the place and asked about the netting under the upperdeck. He felt a bit awkward being a Sox fan in enemy territory but mildly clapped everytime Cincy scored while I was a bit more boisterous.

On the way home, he said The Cell rocks and would rather do a trip to Miller Park instead of going to the crumbling Shrine on the north side.

Lets go Reds!

Let's go Reds!

Let's go Reds!:bandance:

Rats, I dont feel so good about this game. If you guys really want a laugh you shoudl go to some of the cubs message boards where they are blaming the Cards for "destroying the integrity of the game" by "laying down" for the Stros and letting them win against. Such a load of BS it makes me laugh. Lets go Redlegs, still have a chance.

Jjav829
09-29-2004, 03:35 PM
Matthews misplay looks even bigger now as that basically gave the Cubs the run. Reds go down in order and the game goes to the bottom of the 8th inning. Reds have Casey, Dunn, and Jimenez due up. Kearns bats if anyone reaches. I wonder how Dusty will play this if the Reds keep the game at 2-1. I'm assuming he'd leave Remlinger out there to face 3 lefties who all hit righties better.

Well now I see LaTroya warming up. The top of the 9th could be fun.

When it comes to baseball,

Very pleased with the result in today's Reds game. Living with 3 Cubs fans as roommates who talk about how they are going to beat St. Louis in the playoff, this just makes my day.

Also, my dad hates the cubs more than I do and I talked to him Saturday during the Mets game. He was pissed off about how baseball give the cubbywubbies such an easy schedule and how terrible the mets are. He was convinced that the cubs were going to win the wild card. I told him to relax, because it is the cubs we're talking about. At the time, it was 3-0 Cubs. I left my anti-christ roommates. Later, I checked the score and saw that the Mets won. Immediately, I called my dad and told him the score. He reacted like he just won the lottery and said that made his day. I know that's how I feel when they choke and I'm sure you all feel the same way. Go Reds, Go Astros, Go Giants, Go Dodgers and even though they break our hearts, Go Sox.

And here's the link to my thread on RedsZone.com to prove it. (http://www.redszone.com/forums/showthread.php?p=456198#post456198)
