Cardinals will play the Giants
Cubs will play the Braves

Cubs will beat Braves ................ Giants will beat Cardinals

Cubs will play Giants and sneak into WS in six games, one controversial call
will go Cubs way (of course, Media will attribute it to Harry and Goat helping)

anyone else have a prediction?

It's a little early for playoff predictions, seeing as the N.L. Wildcard is wide open, but just for fun:

Cubs over Braves in 5
Cards over Giants in 3

Cards over Cubs in 4

Cards then go on to sweep whatever team wins the A.L. pennant (probably Yankees).

They may have 5 number 2 starters, but that offense kills even the best pitching. Only team I can see giving them problems is the Red Sox, but I think the Yankees will come out of the A.L.

Cubs will get in on strength of sweep over Atlanta the final weekend. Giants and
Astros kick up fuss over Cox running his AAA squad at Chicago, Cox says "I want
to rest my regulars." Bud agrees. "I can't tell Bobby Cox who to play. He's the
manager, not me."

Cubs and Cardinals will meet in the NLCS, Cubs will win because if one team
chokes in the postseason worse than they do, it is StL. I am with Hangar in
that some play will win it for them and we'll see a bunch of garbage in the
media about "God in His mercy" taking pity on the Cubbie fans, and how Harry
helped them win, and how he is looking down and smiling. Jack will be too, but
who cares about him.

Anyways, that is my prediction. America's Cubbies to take the NL pennant.
I predict cubs get spanked HARD if they come anywhere near ST. LOU

I thought CUbs fans were hilarious in last years Playoffs, but I wasn't in Chicago taking the abuse at that time. But if people think the Cubs fans were nuts and everywhere last season, just wait til you hear the Cards' fans.

That series would be not only insane, but the fans would run red with the caps of Cards fans, and blood of Cubbies. ST. Lou will not choke. 3 MVP candidates, with an amazing Larry Walker added to the squad. They won't run away with the series, but the Cubs won't come close to winning it. You gotta have faith. You're making me sad to be a Sox fan.

I wouldn't count out Houston just yet. St. Louis seems to detest the cub team and I wouldn't be surprised to see them lay down for the 'stros. Then Houston plays Colorado to finish the season.

I still don't think the cub is a shoe in for the wildcard.

Thank God somebody else here realizes that the Cubs haven't clinched A DAMN THING yet.

My prediction: Stop worrying about the Cubs. They won't even be there.

Normally I hate the Braves but I'd love to see them sweep the Cubs this weekend.

I'd like to see either Houston or St. Louis in the Series.
