Hopefully they will allow the Stros to sweep.

That would be so awesome.

Teams have been doing it for the Cubs...just ask the Pirates

St. Louis is not laying down but remember Rolan has had a bad ankle / leg for a few weeks now and is just coming back, also Chris Carpenter has had some shoulder stiffness and is being rested as well.
They are being cautious for the post season, that's their priority, not whether or not the Cubs get in.

It owuld make sense, but it is doubtful. I mean if I'm St. Louis I'd rather face the Astros pitching in a short series then the Cubs pitching. Why not rest Puljos, Walker, etc. the next couple of nights and let him get tuned up for the playoffs the last 3 games of the season.

Not going to happen, but I can dream.

Cards just had a bad night all around.

I doubt it. Cards were 100-52 going into Friday's, 103-52 going into Monday.

Doesn't matter as long as the Reds continue to lay down for the Cubs.

The Cardinals wouldn't face either the Cubs or 'Stros in a short series. They would only face the wild card if it came from outside of their division.

Rolen's good for the playoffs right? He's just out cause he's been playing with a torn miniscus all season? I haven't caught up on Cards talk, but I hope he's in the playoffs for the Cards sake.
