Good article in the washington post today about how Jerry is going to be the man that coerces Angelos to stop fighting the Expos move here. Some funny quotes from and about Jerry.

This says a lot about what's wrong with the Sox:

Though Reinsdorf's White Sox teams never have captured a pennant, he has won plenty of deals and fought many a battle within baseball. That's his legacy, and he'll fight to protect it.

I started a thread about this just YESTERDAY, "Is Jerry Reinsdorf the REAL
Commissioner of Baseball?" This is something that Ive became suspicious
of for a while, but events of the last few years have really got Me Wondering.
Think about it ......... someone said WHY would Bud Selig be the Commish then?
Because Bud makes the Perfect Pansy. Bud Pansy Selig has been in the pockets of Reinsdorf, the Cubune, and Steinbrenner for quite some time ....

Reading that article ................ Im VERY TROUBLED about the future of baseball. Shouldnt a REAL commissioner be the one pulling strings? Shouldnt a REAL COMMISSIONER be Telling Jerry TO SHUT HIS MOUTH?
This guy could be a lot more Evil than we thought ......

From the Department of "Outlandish and So Utterly Absurd That it Might Carry Some Semblance of Reality" Conspiracy Theory:

- consider: Reinsdorf is the man who is leading the relocation committee in the direction of DC
- and consider: Reinsdorf was born in NY and raised a Dodgers fan
- therefore: stick another franchise in DC and if it fails, move it to Brooklyn
- thusly: Reinsdorf pulls a Loria and dumps the White Sox in order to become owner of the NEW Brooklyn team
- and BTW: none of this is grounded in reality in anyway, just some ridiculous conspiracy speculation on a slow work day...

Somewhere in an alternative universe, Hangar21 is complaining about MLB Comish George W. Bush's refusal to consider creating an additional division. With the White Sox perenially finishing second in the AL West, a playoff spot for the best second-place team is also begining to cross his mind...
